Angela Scavarelli Of Southampton Dies February 22

Angela Scavarelli of Southampton died with her daughter by her side on February 22 at the Hamptons Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Southampton. She was 88.

Ms. Scavarelli was born on November 24, 1924, in Yonkers, where she lived until 1972 when she and her husband moved the family to Roses Grove Road in Southampton. Survivors said she was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed painting, and crafts. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a devoted member of The Basilica Parish of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Roman Catholic Church in Southampton.

She was an inspiration to many and spread so much love and joy throughout her life, and touched so many people, survivors said.

Ms. Scavarelli was predeceased by her husband, George. She is survived by her brother, Phillip Cammarano and his wife Louise of Connecticut; a daughter, Judith Scavarelli of Brookhaven; and a son, George M. Scavarelli and his wife Joanne of Vermont. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Stephanie Frances Scavarelli and George Michael Scavarelli of Bennington.

The family received friends at the Brockett Funeral Home in Southampton on February 25. A funeral Mass was held on February 26 at the Basilica Parish of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Roman Catholic Church. Interment followed at the church cemetery.
