Anna Lingwood, a resident of Water Mill for 62 years, died on July 19 at the Hamptons Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing. She was 87.

Born October 8, 1921, in Reading, Pennsylvania to George Kuhlmann and Margarite (née Yeager) Kuhlmann, she ran Bridgehampton IGA with her husband, Ray Lingwood.

She was a past president of the Southampton Garden Club and was also a member of the Quilters Guild, the Southampton Rose Society, Suffolk County Doll Club, and the Horticultural Alliance.

In addition to her husband, she 
is survived by a daughter, Sharon Dickinson of Water Mill; a son, David Lingwood of Water Mill; a sister, Ida 
Aldrich of Southampton; two granddaughters, Joanna and Desiree; and two grandsons, Constantine and Justin.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Geraldine Hunt and Chick Raynor and a brother, George Kuhlmann.

Funeral services were held on July 21 at Yardley & Pino Funeral Home in Sag Harbor. Interment followed at the Southampton Cemetery.
