Anthony A. Trabona of Springs died on March 5 in Springs. He was 96.
Born in Brooklyn on March 9, 1918, he was the son of Pasquale and Marietta Trabona. He graduated from Babylon High School and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Before his retirement, he worked as a maintenance mechanic and building contractor for the Babylon School District.
Mr. Trabona was predeceased by his wife, Frances. He is survived by two children, Nina Trabona and Laura Oliverio, both of Springs; eight grandchildren; and eight nephews and nieces. He is also survived by a brother, Vincent Trabona of Maryland.
A funeral service took place on March 9, under the direction of the Yardley and Pino Funeral Home in East Hampton. Burial was at Calverton National Cemetery.
