Former Sag Harbor resident Antoinette Ewers of Annapolis, Maryland, died on July 1 at a nursing home in Annapolis. She was 97.
Born April 23, 1911, in Brooklyn to Antoinette (née Wagner) and Edmund Seith, she married William Ewers and was a housewife and a homemaker caring for him and their three children.
Predeceased by her husband in 1981, and two brothers, Edmund and John Seith, she is survived by two daughters, Lenore A. Ewers of New Jersey and Geraldine E. Scott of Maryland; a son, Lionel G. Ewers of Maine; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and six nieces and nephews.
The family received visitors on July 9 at Yardley & Pino Funeral Home in Sag Harbor. Funeral services will be held today, Thursday, July 10, at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Chuch in Sag Harbor, followed by interment in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Andrew’s R.C. Church, 122 Division Street, Sag Harbor, NY 11963 would be appreciated by the family.
