I was disgusted to read in the New York Post and in this paper last week about the appalling behavior of former Mayor Jesse Warren toward at least one female staffer in his and the village’s employ, as evidenced by Miranda Weber’s lawsuit [“Former Secretary to Former Mayor Sues Southampton Village, Alleging Harassment, Discrimination,” 27east.com, October 3]. This is not only embarrassing for Southampton Village overall, but this behavior should not be tolerated by any woman anywhere.
This poor girl’s first job, and she is subjected to this consistent harassment and discrimination? This should make every resident angry.
Let’s make sure he is never in a position of power again in Southampton.
