Armand L. Lubatty, known to his friends and family as “Bud,” died in his sleep on December 6, 2016. He was 93.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the South Pacific as a proud member of the Coast Guard. He was a popular chiropractor in Southampton for more than 40 years and active in the community in many ways. He was a member of the Southampton Masonic Lodge for many years, active in Boy Scouts in a variety of leadership and supportive roles, and he participated in local politics and had many friends in the community.
A lifelong resident of Long Island, he chose to spend his last two years in Denver, so he could spend more time with his son and family.
He was predeceased by his wife of 43 years, Annabelle; and his second wife, Isabelle. He is survived by a daughter, Ruthanne (Lubatty) Murray and husband Mark; a son, Andrew Lubatty and wife Robin of Denver; and three grandchildren, Julia Murray, Rebecca Lubatty and Matthew Lubatty.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 15, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Masonic Lodge, 40 Main Street, Southampton. Friends and family are welcome to stop by and share their memories.
