'Art of Healing' on Display at East End Arts

In honor of National Recovery Month, the Town of Southampton Addiction, Recovery and Behavioral Health Committee his hosting a visual art exhibition, “The Art of Healing,” on Saturday, September 21, from 3 to 6 p.m. at East End Arts, 141 East Main Street in Riverhead. The exhibition aims to spotlight the power of creative arts to inspire and heal.

The event is co-sponsored by several organizations involved with the Town of Southampton Addiction, Recovery and Behavioral Health Committee including Southampton Town Youth Bureau, HUGS Inc. (Human Growth & Understanding Services), THRIVE Recovery Community and Outreach Centers, and the Family & Children’s Association. East End Arts has also joined as a partner and is providing the exhibition and reception location.

Santa Coming to Westhampton Beach

The Village of Westhampton Beach will host its annual Christmas Tree and Menorah Lighting Celebration on the Village Green on Saturday, December 6, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. At 6 p.m., the Westhampton Beach Fire Department will escort Santa to the Green, joining decorated fire trucks from neighboring departments in a festive parade of lights down Main Street. Stony Brook Southampton’s FoodLab will welcome professor Joseph M.
