Arthur J. Connolly III, age 73 of Fitchburg, MA, passed suddenly this week after a long battle with health challenges.

Born and raised in Woodside, Queens, Arthur attended St. Sebastian Grammar School and St. Agnes High School before earning his degree from Stony Brook University. He enjoyed a fulfilling career in Worcester, Massachusetts, as well as Schenectady, New York with General Electric’s defense contracts division.

Arthur was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Marjorie Connolly and is survived by his sister, Margaret Ann, his brothers, Brian and Kevin (Karen) and his cherished niece, Kelly Ann, and her husband, Christian Arce.

He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.

A Memorial Mass will be held at the Basilica Parish of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary on May 8th at 10 AM, followed by the Burial of Cremains at Sacred Hearts R.C. Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Hampton Bays Volunteer Fire Department or the Hampton Bays Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
