The owner and other business establishments were informed of a prior incident at Hampton + Dunes via text, in which a woman was confronted and all items were returned without incident. UPDATE: The victim of the beating on a public roadway in Hampton Bays on Wednesday afternoon and the man charged with felony assault were roommates with a history of interpersonal disputes, police say. The fight apparently grew out of an argument between the two which evolved into a physical altercation on the street near their house on Periwinkle Lane. Police say that Jamall Thomas, 28, kicked the other man, who police have not identified, in the head and face several times.
