Barbara 'Bobbie' Jones Micari

Barbara “Bobbie” Jones Micari of Hampton Bays, formerly of Water Mill, died on March 19 at the Westhampton Care Center. She was 69.

Born in Southampton on June 27, 1946, Ms. Micari was a legal secretary for 43 years at the Suffolk County Legal Aid Society.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen; step-daughters, Stacey LaPointe of Ohio and Leigh Murphy of Saratoga Springs; grandchildren, Claire, Brady and Katie; a brother, Jeff Jones of Water Mill; a sister, Kay Jones of North Carolina; a sister-in-law, Linda Jones of Water Mill; and nieces and nephews, Leslie Jones of Virginia, and Megan and Jeffery Jones of Water Mill.

A funeral took place on March 22, officiated by the Reverend Richard King, at the Brockett Funeral Home in Southampton. Interment was at Flying Point Cemetery on Wednesday morning.

Memorial donations may be made to the Hampton Bays Volunteer Ambulance Corps, 18 Ponquogue Avenue, Hampton Bays, NY 11946.

Southampton DWI Arrests for the Week of December 12

William Campos Lopez, 26, of Speonk was arrested on December 8, at 3:40 a.m., by Quogue Village Police charged him with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor. He was pulled over after being observed speeding and failing to maintain his lane on Montauk Highway, police said.
