Beverly Ann Brown of Hampton Bays died on August 14 at her daughter and son-in-law’s (Rosemary and Norman Stiansen) residence, where she was surrounded by her family. She was 89.

She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her, her family said, noting that she was kind to all people and was always thinking of others. She lived a fulfilled life, they said, and was a social butterfly and made friends with others naturally. She will be remembered for her generosity and compassion for others, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Born on July 17, 1935, she grew up in the Bronx, and moved to Brightwaters, where she raised her family with her husband, Peter Lawrence Brown.

She is survived by her five daughters, Lori (Anthony) Boniciolli, Dorothy (Jeffrey) Howes, Mary Ann Brown (David Vickery), Bonnie (Thomas) Weber, and Rosemary (Norman) Stiansen; eight grandchildren, Matthew Howes, Paul Boniciolli, Amy (Eric) Papenhausen, Celia Hensel, Peter (Brianna Ashe) Stiansen, Tara Stiansen, Anna Stiansen (Billy Dzanoucakis) and Leanne Weber (Dominic Gibas); and one great-grandchild, Olive Ashe Stiansen.
