Bleak Alternative

President Joe Biden is determined to stay on the job and finish the work he started as more of his party faithful are prodding him to step down and pass the baton. The alternatives are bleak. The vice president, cackling Kamala Harris, produces word salads of incomprehensible insights only the vapid fans of “The View” might consider profound. That she is second-in-command is already a potential existential threat to common sense and our national security.

China has its eyes on Taiwan as it extends its power in the South China Sea. Iran is supporting and fomenting chaos in the Middle East. Along with North Korea, all are supporting Russia in the Ukraine conflict, as Biden and company sleepwalk our nation into a potential conflict of epic proportions.

Despite the electorates worst fears, Donald Trump’s leadership managed to avoid international armed conflict and sought to remove us from 20 years of conflict in Afghanistan. Biden quickly made a total disaster of that effort when he took office.

Biden encouraged Ukraine to continue its war with Russia when a peace agreement was on the table only six weeks after the fighting began. The primary bargaining chip was, and still is, keeping Ukraine out of NATO, and NATO out of Ukraine. The obvious similarities to our Cuban missile crisis have been largely ignored, and the world continues to poke the Bear. Imagine the U.S. reaction to China placing troops and missiles in Mexico. Biden is depleting our military armaments to support two wars, as China lies patiently in wait.

Economically, with Biden on the job, we experienced almost 20 percent inflation, and the people feel its effects every time they walk into a store. Echoes of “it’s the economy, stupid” reverberate again and will be a primary factor in this election.

The current stock market boom is fueled almost entirely by seven stocks that comprise about 30 percent of the market; one, Nvidia, is the driving force behind the other six. Adjusted for inflation, the S&P 500 is up 17 percent. By comparison, during Trump’s term, it was up 54 percent. Similarly, after inflation, the Nasdaq 100 under Biden is up 22 percent, less than one-sixth the 140 percent rise during the Trump years. Because of inflation, net wages have decreased by 5 percent with Biden.

The massive increase in illegal immigrants under Biden poses undeniable economic, security and social issues, including human trafficking and drug addiction.

Biden’s election was aided by compliant media and the FBI. They withheld the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop until after the election, calling it Russian disinformation. Putting their thumb on the scale, the FBI had the laptop for over a year before releasing the damning information.
