The Bonac Festival of Lights will return for the 2024 holiday season. Hosted by the East Hampton Masonic Lodge, Star of the East No. 843, the show will be on display starting Friday, November 29, at East Hampton High School, 2 Long Lane.
The walk-through display, now in its fourth year, features over 70 holiday-themed light displays. The family-friendly display will be open Friday and Saturday nights, every weekend through December 21 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
Admission is $6 for children and $12 for adults. Hot chocolate and popcorn will be available for purchase.
As part of the seasonal offering, the festival will parter with East Hampton High School’s Student Association on Friday, December 6, to offer a holiday celebration in the cafeteria with performances by the music department, holiday crafts, food trucks and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. The annual firetruck decorating competition will be held on December 6 as well, with additional local fire departments competing for the coveted trophy.
All proceeds go to support Star of the East Lodge’s annual scholarship program. Scholarships are presented each year to local high school seniors to support their college endeavors. To date, over $23,000 has been distributed to graduating seniors.
