Boyd G. “Skip” Ralph died peacefully at his home in Southampton on November 29. He was 88.
He lived a full life, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, graduated from Haverford College Class of 1958, a three- sport athlete and captain of the wrestling team.
He and his wife Lorraine, who predeceased him in 2011, settled in Manhasset and raised their four daughters, Caroline (Sean), Kiki, Liz (Mark) and Melissa. In 1993, he and his wife restored and renovated a 300-year-old house in Southampton, which is now known as The 1708 House, a charming bed-and-breakfast in the heart of the village.
He will be remembered for his curiosity and passion. He enjoyed meaningful discourse on all subjects, especially philosophy and history.
He is survived by his daughters and grandchildren, Kade, Kelly, Caroline Rose, Kyle, Jack and his great-grandson Charles.
