I am writing to encourage voters in Sag Harbor to cast their votes on May 17 at Pierson High School for the two important Board of Education seats that are coming available.
Grainne Coen, a local businesswoman and financial executive, is on the ballot and will be a great addition to the board. Grainne is the mother of two elementary school boys. We came to know her and her husband, Rory McEvoy, when our children were in second grade together, and I believe she has a breadth of experience and personal balance that will enhance the board.
I also encourage voters to endorse write-in candidate Ronald Reed, a local businessman, architect and artist who, with his wife, Patricia Assui Reed, a businesswoman, also have two kids at Sag Harbor Elementary School, one who will be entering middle school next year. Ronald currently serves on the Village Planning Board as well.
Both residents are committed to serve and I believe will serve with distinction.
Please join me and my family for voting May 17. Our votes help the Sag Harbor school system remain one of the most admired on the East End.
