We are the eyes, ears, voice of our Planet Earth. This dawns on me at the Southampton Town Board’s meeting on March 27. I listen to every resident of Hampton Bays, including myself, ask the board to follow the Suffolk County Planning Board’s recommendation to return the Bell-Aire Cove Motel property to its natural setting. I hear Earth’s cry, screaming to the board to abandon its development plans.
Every little bit counts today. Little spaces add up to the grand scale needed to restore Earth to health, restore our health.
Board, give back the Bell-Aire Cove Motel site to Earth. Give our planet breathing space where tides flow in their natural rhythm, helping to purify polluted water. Give us breathing space where residents can recreate, re-create, restore, store up positive energy.
Listen to our planet’s pleas: Return Bell-Aire (meaning “Lovely Air, Demeanor”) to its “Bell-Aire” self.
