Brian VanNostrand of Southampton died June 1 after struggling for several years with a degenerative bone disease and going through many operations. He was 44.

Visitation was held on June 3 at the Brockett Funeral Home in Southampton, where a prayer service was conducted by Reverend Monsignor Edmond Trench. A private funeral and cremation were held on June 4.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Brian VanNostrand Children’s Fund, c/o Suffolk County National Bank, 295 North Sea Road, Southampton, N.Y. 11968, or at any other SCNB branch would be appreciated by the family.

Under Siege

Our Sag Harbor park tennis courts are under siege. There are eight clay courts and two hard courts.
