The Thinking Forward Lecture Series of the Bridgehampton Child Care and Recreational Center will feature a Narcan training session sponsored, in part, by HUGS, Inc., Southampton Town Police and the Long Island Center for Recovery.
The training session will be held on Thursday, May 2, at 6:30 p.m. at the Bridgehampton Child Care and Recreational Center starting with a presentation from Kim Laube of HUGS, Inc. about the opioid epidemic. Later, Deputy Sheriff William Weick of the Suffolk County sheriff’s office will guide participants through the proper handling of an overdose patient and how to properly administer Narcan to help save their life.
