After a Memorial Day wash out, the Bridgehampton Child Care and Recreational Center had the perfect sunny day for its “CARe” Wash fundraiser on June 5. The CARe Wash was organized by the Center’s advisory board: Michael Davies, Christine Evangelista, Maria Lavezzo, Joey Wolffer, and Lukas Weinstein ran the show. Photos were taken by Kimberly Goff.
"There was a lot of new engagement for The Center, including Don Lemon and Tim Malone. Don promoted it all on his own Instagram account, too,” said Gia de Picciotto, BHCCRC advisory board chair. “Tons of kids and Mr. Robert, our after-school director, had a blast. Sixteen cars showed up to be washed and many people stopped by and got a feel for The Center. I am confident that we are bringing so many new people to The Center and that this will lead to new and continued support."
“I am delighted that our community came together again for The Center for our second CARe Wash,” said Executive Director Bonnie Michelle Cannon. “It was a wonderful day for The Center. So much fun, on an absolutely beautiful day. Our new building rising in the background while our kids, teens and friends washed cars made it even more exciting. Your support helps us to care for those in need. Thank you for showing your love and caring.”
