On Friday, October 31, students in kindergarten through second grade walked to the Hampton Library accompanied by school librarian David Holmes. The group met the children’s librarian, Ms. Emily, who read Dav Pilkey’s “Hallo-Wiener” and other stories and learned about getting library cards.
On November 4, grades kindergarten through 12 participated in a mock presidential election, and student government elections were held in grades seven through 12. Students and faculty elected Barack Obama for president, and in the student government elections, the “Peeps” were elected. The party includes juniors Vanessa Rojano, Kelsey Reese and Cesar Banados; and sophomore Nina Hemby. The first project the student government will be working on will be a food drive for St. Ann’s Episcopal Church in Bridgehampton. This is the 10th year that the school will be participating in this event, which benefits families in the Bridgehampton community.
On Thursday, the Bridgehampton PTO will hold a Christmas shoebox project in the gym from 6 to 9 p.m.
