Stony Brook Southampton Hospital Earns an ‘A’

Stony Brook Southampton Hospital has earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from the Leapfrog Group, a national, independent nonprofit watchdog. The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is an elite designation that sets the highest standards for patient safety in the United States.

“Receiving an ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grade from the Leapfrog Group is a testament to our unwavering commitment to patient safety and quality care,” said Dr. William A. Wertheim, interim executive vice president for Stony Brook Medicine. “This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our exceptional staff, whose tireless efforts make a profound difference in the lives of those we serve and inspire us to continually raise the bar for health care excellence in our community and beyond.”

Elements Barre Fit Opens New Studio

Elements Barre Fit is bringing its high energy workout classes to Sag Harbor with the opening of a new flagship location, 11 Bridge Street. The 2,000-square-foot studio features two studio rooms, including a private training studio, and an outdoor space. The studio also features Elements’ custom ballet barres, offering a deeper stretch and more advanced workout. Classes at Elements Sag will run year-round and will include barre, dance and stretch, stand-up paddleboard barre, as well as private sessions.

Sag Harbor classes will be led by founder, CEO and head trainer Andrea Fornarola.

“We’re thrilled to be celebrating 10 years in the Hamptons with this new location,” said Fornarola. “Sag Harbor is the perfect fit for our flagship location, and we are proud to bring our high energy barre and dance fusion classes to this great community.”

Matriark Summer Pop-Up Coming Soon

Matriark, the multimedia and retail brand dedicated to showcasing women- and LGBTQI+-owned brands, has announced a summer pop-up in Sag Harbor from May 20 to September 20.

Located in a Victorian home adorned with new, visually-arresting seasonal decor on its facade, Matriark will feature a collection of luxury fashion, accessory and design brands — all hand-selected by Brazilian-born, Hamptons-based founder Patricia Assui Reed.

This summer, Matriark will be joined by Another Tomorrow, Marfa Stance, The Seven and Rebecca Taylor, with additional brand partners to be announced.

Matriark’s grand opening event will held on May 24, from 5 to 7 p.m., to introduce the women behind the brands, including Vanessa Barboni Hallik, founder and CEO, Another Tomorrow; Georgia Dant, founder and creative director; Marfa Stance; Camille Zarsky, founder, The Seven; and Devyani Ramani, COO, Rebecca Taylor.

CMEE To Host Family New Year's Eve Event
