What a difference a week makes!

Breakwater Yacht Club’s End of Winter "Sunnies" Frostbite Regatta on March 28 in Sag Harbor was literally blown out of the water with wind gusts well over 30 knots. This past Sunday’s first race of the spring season was summer-like in comparison, with warm winds out of the southwest at no more than 10 knots. Another sunfish MK sail premiered Sunday, an orange beauty Scott Sandell cut and stitched on his kitchen floor, his makeshift sail loft! This sail is taller, with a shorter foot, making it even more responsive to the slightest commands. It proved to be a Formula 1 rocket on the racecourse!
