Four people have thrown their hats in the ring for this year’s Sagaponack Village elections.
Mayor Donald Louchheim, Deputy Mayor Lee Foster and Trustees Lisa Duryea Thayer and Patrick Guarino have all filed petitions to seek reelection, according to Village Clerk Rosemarie Winchell. All are running unopposed.
Patrick Guarino was appointed to be a trustee following Alfred Kelman’s resignation last year. He is running for a one-year term. The terms for the mayor and other two trustees are two years long.
The deadline for filing petitions was 5 p.m. on Friday.
Mr. Louchhiem has served as mayor for one term and was a trustee on the original Village Board. Ms. Foster, also on the first board of trustees, is seeking her third term on the board.
Ms. Duryea Thayer is seeking her second term.
Village elections will be held on Friday, June 18.
