Carl G. Marino
Carl G. Marino of Sag Harbor died on Saturday, October 6, at Southampton Hospital. He was 72 and had Parkinson’s disease.
Mr. Marino was born in the Bronx in 1940 and attended Mt. St. Michael High School. He worked for his father in the garment trucking business in New York until 1976. His family vacationed in Sag Harbor beginning in 1944 and they moved there full time in 1976. In 1979, Mr. Marino and a partner established Harbor Cove Realty in Sag Harbor, which he successfully operated until 2009. He was well known in the community, was a member of the Sag Harbor Yacht Club, for which he once served as a commodore, and he was an avid New York Giants fan.
Mr. Marino is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara (née Hager); a daughter, Debi and her husband Rich Kresberg of Amagansett; a son, Carl Jr. of Sag Harbor; and a grandson, Aaron. He was predeceased by a sister, Georgann Sammis.
Funeral services were held on October 10 at St. Andrew’s Church in Sag Harbor. Arrangements were under the direction of the Yardley and Pino Funeral Home in Sag Harbor.
