Carol J. Dominski died at her home in Southampton on January 21 after a valiant battle with cancer. She was 56.
Born in Bethpage to Cynthia and Louis Haun, she was a longtime resident of the East End. She graduated from Southampton College with a degree in mathematics and went on to own and operate a successful construction company for 20 years.
Survivors said this week that she enjoyed boating, clamming, fishing and spending time with family and friends, especially her grandson, and she will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her mother, Cynthia Haun of Florida; a daughter, Laura and her husband Michael Lavezzo of Southampton; a son, Phillip Dominski of Southampton; a sister, Ellen Williams of East Quogue; a grandson, Ty Lavezzo of Southampton; and longtime companion Mark Zaloga of Southampton.
A wake was held on January 24 at the Brockett Funeral Home in Southampton.
