A memorial service for former Southampton resident and socialite Catherine Murray di Montezemolo will be held on Saturday, May 23, at 5 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Dune Church in Southampton. 
A matron of the fashion industry, Ms. di Montezemolo, 83, died Wednesday, April 22, at Peconic Landing in Greenport of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Southampton Hospital, 240 Meetinghouse Lane, Southampton NY 11968 or the Southampton Fresh Air Home, 36 Barkers Island Road, Southampton, NY 11968 would be appreciated by the family.

A simple fact about the SALT deductions is being obscured with Nick Lakota’s statements in the news. If the 2017 tax rules expire, residents will once again be able to deduct 100 percent of their state and local taxes. If all New York representatives vote together, the new budget will fail. “Fighting” for a higher limit is unnecessary.
