As a 20-year resident of North Haven Village, I would like to offer my opinion on our upcoming election for the two available village trustee seats.
We have three candidates running, and I know them all, both in and out of our village government. You may have heard different takes on the various village issues being discussed in the media by those three candidates. That’s all fine with me — put 20 people in a room, and you’ll get 20 different viewpoints.
But it’s communication and compromise that make things work. What matters to me is the very nature of who a candidate is and the kind of character that they exhibit.
With that said, I can only endorse Peter Boody and Max Rohn in this election. They have the qualities that will bring an efficient and effective village government to the voters.

In following The Press’s continuing coverage of the Shinnecock, there seems to be a trend wherein the newspaper has become an apologist for the tribe. According to your recent stories, they are always, seemingly, fighting against the inhumanities perpetrated by...

I am very glad The Southampton Press held Friday’s debate and gave the public an opportunity to learn more about the candidates in the upcoming village election. I came away reminded again of the competence, commitment and energy of Mayor...
