Charles McBride
Charles McBride of Remsenburg and Bronxville died at Peconic Bay Medical Center on Thursday, August 9, after a long illness. He was 65.
Mr. McBride was born on November 3, 1946, in the Bronx to Charles and Mary Boyce McBride of Donegal, Ireland. He attended and graduated from St. John’s Grammar School in the Bronx and Power Memorial High School in Manhattan and then Marist College in Poughkeepsie.
He was the founder and chief executive officer of the executive search firm Charles McBride and Associates, Inc., located in Bronxville.
According to family members, Mr. McBride was extremely proud of his Irish Catholic heritage and upbringing as well as being an avid gardener. Those who knew him well, know of his love of a good story, facts not withstanding.
Mr. McBride is survived by his wife Linda (nee Schluter); two daughters, Allison Galligan and her husband Casey of Bronxville and Amy Fox and her husband Paul of New York City; two sisters, Bernadette McCormick and her husband Harold of New Jersey and Marjorie Conlon and her husband Marty of Water Mill. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Sarah, James, Jacob and Jeremy. He leaves behind his beloved standard poodle, Max.
Cremation was private and a memorial service will be announced at a future date.
