Charles Thomas Mockler of Bridgehampton died April 24 at the Kanas Center For Hospice Care in Westhampton Beach after a brief battle with cancer. He was 68.
Mr. Mockler was born on October 18, 1951 in Southampton to Charles and Helen (nee Whelly) Mockler.
He married Uun Mockler on December 10, 1999.
Mr. Mockler graduated from Bridgehampton High School, attended Ithaca College and graduated from Fordham University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business.
He was a self-employed house painter and taught driver’s education classes.
Mr. Mockler had a passion for surfing and golf. Surfing frequently brought him to Bali, where he met his wife.
He was a member of the Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Church in Bridgehampton.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Mockler is survived by his step-children, Aprillina Setyawati and Adit Nugraha; a step-grandson, Axel Valentino Lima; and his siblings, Lally Mockler of East Hampton and Mimi McGrath of Milton, Massachusetts.
