Choral Society Announces Auditions

The Choral Society of the Hamptons will hold auditions in late January and early February for singers interested in joining the group prior to its next concert on Sunday, March 26. The Choral Society primarily rehearses at the Bridgehampton Presbyterian Church and the spring concert will take place at Bay Street Theater. The spring concert, titled “A Touch of Whimsy,” will be directed by David M. Brandenburg and will feature works by Samuel Barber, Irving Fine, Randall Thompson and Gilbert & Sullivan. The concert will feature members of the South Fork Chamber Orchestra and professional soloists.

Prospective singers are invited to be guests at the first rehearsal on January 23 and audition prior to the second or third rehearsal, on January 30 and February 6. Familiarity with musical notation is helpful, but not always essential.
