Former Southampton resident Clemens Emil Pierberg of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, died March 24 at his home. He was 78.
Born June 5, 1930, in Hamburg, Germany, to Ursula (née Kopf) and Franz Pierberg, he came to the United States in 1956, arriving through Ellis Island.
He is survived by three daughters, Suzanne Pierberg, Yvonne Pierberg, and Monique and her husband Paul Jensen; a stepdaughter, Marcia Lee Mulkey; a stepson, Jeff Calvert; two sisters, Ursula Curth and Rita Pierberg of Hamburg, Germany; two grandsons, Nicholas Fakhoury and Austin Spickard; and two granddaughters, Meredith and Melissa Brock.
He was predeceased by his wife of 24 years, Dorothy Pierberg, and a brother, Franz Pierberg Jr.
Services are private and under the arrangement of J. Henry Stuhr, Mount Pleasant Chapel in Mt. Pleasant.
