Close To Home

The letter written to the editor by Paula Angelone, Ph.D., in the January 6 edition [“Mental Illness To Blame,” Letters, January6] was right on target. So close (too close) to home for many of us.

You write on the professional rationale, but there is so much more that goes with this diagnosis. We who know what is right by listening to the medical professionals, are more tuned in to social media, not knowing who is writing or even speaking when tuned into our phones. These folks are angry, yes, they do not want to be told what to do. We all lived under that rule for four years and still are. All of the coping skills, defense mechanisms, etc., are tools that should be taught in schools to combat all the anger and the projection of blame, would be so useful.

Can you imagine? What an uprising that would be. Now they are telling me how to feel?

Also, not afraid to say, open the Bible. It says it all.
