Clyde Nason Of Sag Harbor Dies June 23

Clyde S. Nason

Clyde S. Nason of Sag Harbor died at home on June 23. He was 86.

Born in Grafton, Massachusetts, on July 24, 1925, he was the son of William Nason and Blanche Foley. A veteran 
of the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force, he was a member 
of the American Legion, VFW, and the Springs Fire Department.

Mr. Nason is survived his wife, Elinor (née Davenport); four children, Cheryl Beimly, Jason Nason and Mark Nason, 
all of Ohio, and Pamela Nason of East Hampton. He is also 
survived by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A private funeral service is planned for a later date in Grafton. Arrangements are under 
the direction of the Yardley and Pino Funeral Home in Sag 
Harbor.

Memorial donations may be made to East End Hospice, Box 1048, Westhampton Beach, NY 11978.

Southampton DWI Arrests for the Week of May 8

Gintaras Satas, 58, of Mastic was arrested at about 11:30 p.m. on May 2 and charged with misdemeanor DWI and several vehicle and traffic violations after the vehicle he was driving nearly struck a Southampton Town Police car that was on the side of Montauk Highway in Water Mill with its lights on conducting a traffic stop of another vehicle. When approached by the officer, Satas was found to be unsteady on his feet and a breath alcohol test indicated he had been drinking more than the legal limit, according to police. by Staff Writer

Renny Lopez-Bermeo, 27, of East Hampton was arrested by Southampton Town Police at about 7 p.m. on April 27 and charged with felony DWI after he was pulled over for driving erratically on Lynncliff Road near Ponquogue Avenue in Hampton Bays.
