I was very disappointed this year with the trees along Main Street in Bridgehampton.
In the past, the colored lights, with the addition of strings of white lights, was very festive and very warm and joyful. This year, the use of white lights by themselves has given the street a commercial look that mimics streets in urban areas and, while pretty, is cold and impersonal.
