Southampton Town and the Long Island Divers Association held an underwater ribbon cutting at Ponquogue Piers in Hampton Bays on Sunday, September 29. According to the Long Island Divers Association this was the first underwater ribbon cutting on Long Island. Renovation of the Ponquogue Piers, the old Ponquogue Bridge, was recently completed. It was badly damaged during Super Storm Sandy in 2012. An above water ribbon cutting will be held at the South Pier on Friday, October 11th.   ECO-PHOTO EXPLORERS

The event was a fundraiser for Peconic Bay Medical Center Northwell Health's women's programs.
