Greater Westhampton Historical Museum President Bo Bishop formally opened the period gardens designed and developed by the Westhampton Garden Club with a Garden Tea Party on July 10. WGC's Ruth Ann Rosenthal led a committee of fellow members on the three year project to complement the 1790s Foster Meeker House and the 1840 Tuttle House. Both were moved to Westhampton Village property at 101 Mill Road. The collaborative effort with the museum received additional support from Todd Scates, owner of Landscape Solutions, who installed the brickwork, and the Village of Westhampton for the irrigation installation and permanent use of the land. At the opening Westhampton Garden Club President Alicia Whitaker spoke of the many donors who contributed money, time and materials to the project and building improvements, as well as a grant from the Robert David Lion Gardiner Foundation.
