Stony Brook Southampton Hospital’s Center for Parkinson’s Disease honored the participants of the second annual Parkinson’s Disease Virtual Walking Challenge at the Southampton High School track on May 1. The ceremony recognized 32 individuals living with Parkinson's who completed the month-long challenge, as well the approximately 40 members of the Southampton High School track team, who "stood up" to Parkinson’s. In its second year, the Parkinson’s Disease Virtual Walking Challenge is a friendly competition that inspires people with Parkinson's to be active.
