The Chelberg & Battle Post American Legion Auxiliary Unit 388 “Field of Poppies” fundraiser is being held this month to benefit Veterans, Military and their families. Poppies in honor of our fallen hero’s are “planted” at the War Memorial at Otter Pond in Sag Harbor on Memorial Day. Cost of poppies is $20. In honor of Arbor Day, and the fact that Southampton Village is a part of "Tree City USA," a sunset maple was planted in Agawam Park on Friday. Southampton Village Mayor Jesse Warren, left and Trustee Gina Arresta were joined by students of Our Lady of the Hamptons, as well as members of the planning commission, the tree committee, and members of the DPW.
