On Saturday the Ladies Village Improvement Society (LVIS) of East Hampton celebrated Halloween, with Halloween crafts, storytelling, Guess How Many Candy Corns, goodie bags and more. The Shops at LVIS were decorated for the occasion, and so were the visitors and staff. RICHARD LEWIN

The 26th Annual Food Pantry Dinner, held on October 21 at the Parish Center of Immaculate Conception Church in Quiogue, was a huge success on every level. Over 250 guests enjoying a meal provided by Sydney’s Taylor-Made Cuisine, Shock Ice Cream and The Hampton Coffee Company, in a true family setting. Entertainment for the adults included a silent auction as well as a raffle, and for the kids, Halloween treats, including face painting. Jointly sponsored by Westhampton Rotary, the Joseph Slomski Knights of Columbus Council, and the Westhampton Kiwanis, the event provided much-needed funds for those charitable organizations to assist their neighbors in need.
