On Sunday, September 21, a group of Southampton Fresh Air Home  alumni participated in an adaptive bike ride to raise funds for Southampton Fresh Air Home's year-round programs for children and young adults with physical disabilities.  The ride was part of the Massapequa Park Bicycle Club's annual Tour of the Hamptons bike ride.  The group rode 20 miles and raised more than $3,000 to date.  Funds will be used to support Home Away from Home program, a work force development program for alumni of SFAH’s 124-year-old summer camp. the Westhampton Beach Fire Department’s Buffalo-Brockway antique fire truck turns one hundred years old this year. To celebrate this occasion the department will be holding a parade of antique fire trucks at noon on Saturday, October 4 (Rain date October 5).
The parade will start at Mill Road and Lilac Road and will proceed east on Mill Road to Main Street. From there it will travel to Sunset Avenue where it will turn right and go to the fire department’s Sunset Avenue headquarters. COURTESY WESTHAMPTON BEACH FIRE DEPARTMENT

After the parade the antiques will be on display in the parking lot behind the firehouse until 3:00 PM.
