The body of 31-year-old Air National Guard hero serviceman Sgt. Louis Bonacasa of Coram landed at Gabreski Airport in Westhampton Beach on Thursday morning. He was one of six service members killed in a suicide attack in Afghanistan. He was honored by numerous fire departments lining County Road 31 with flags and standing at attention. His funeral will be held Saturday morning at New Beginnings Christian Center in Coram followed by burial at Calverton National Cemetery. Sgt. The Westhampton Beach School District is now accepting nominations for its Wall of Fame. The wall, which was inaugurated in 2002, aims to memorialize the extraordinary achievements of the Westhampton Beach School District’s alumni, former faculty and staff.
