Crash Closes West Lane on CR 39 in Southampton

An accident in front of the Hampton Jitney building on County Road 39 in Southampton has closed one westbound lane as of 12:16 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12.

Officials say a heavy rescue crew was responding to the scene to extricate someone trapped in a vehicle.

Eastbound traffic is reportedly unaffected.

William Campos Lopez, 26, of Speonk was arrested on December 8, at 3:40 a.m., by Quogue Village Police charged him with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor.
