Cynthia “Cindy” A. Nelson of Cape Coral, Florida died on August 19, 2024. She was 76.
She was born to Edward and Marion Cerveny on March 6, 1948, in Southampton. She married Gary Nelson in 1965, and they remained together until his death in 2021. Together they raised three daughters.
She was a stay at home mom until her children were in school. She held many jobs over the years, but she was able to combine her love for the beach with work as the manager of Blue Dolphin Cottages on Sanibel Island, Florida. When she finally retired, she continued to enjoy the beach, various crafts, and learned to play Mahjong.
She was predeceased by her parents and husband. She is survived by her sister, Marianne Preiato (Ernest); her three daughters, Tracy Kilgore, Cheryl Bonime (Brett), and Michele Knierim (Greg); and her four grandchildren, Justin, Alex, Bailey, and Andrew.
“She will forever be our lighthouse,” her family said.
Per her request, there will be no services.
