Cynthia Jones of Sag Harbor died at Stony Brook Hospital on January 12. She was 67.

Born at Southampton Hospital on February 7, 1948, she was the daughter of former Southampton Town Clerk Claude Jones and Ann Marie Trimpin Jones. She attended the Academy of the Sacred Heart of Mary and, after graduation, beautician school in Hempstead. She worked as a hairdresser at several salons from Southampton to Sag Harbor, including Chez Joey. Survivors said she “rolled, permed and teased her way into the hearts of all the women and men whose hair she cut and styled.”

Ms. Jones is survived by two children, Kevin Miller of Sag Harbor and Donna Miller of Hampton Bays; a brother, Bill Jones of Southampton; a sister, Corinne Riley of Sag Harbor; a granddaughter, Kiarra; and a niece, Delaney Jones.

A funeral Mass was held on February 18 at St. Andrew’s Church, followed by burial in the church cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of the Yardley and Pino Funeral Home in Sag Harbor.

Memorial donations may be made to the Sag Harbor Ambulance Fund, Box 2725, or the Sag Harbor Fire Department, Box 209, both in Sag Harbor, NY 11963.
