Daniel James Joseph of McDonough, Georgia, formerly of Center Moriches, died on Saturday, July 25. He was 
48.

Mr. Joseph was the son of the late Ellen Amanda Haggerty and Lester James Joseph. He grew up in Center Moriches and attended Center Moriches public schools. He was known for his free spirit and knowledge of electronics and enjoyed traveling and the beach.

He is survived by his sisters, Lorraine Hyatt of Eastport and Mary Ellen Rabe of Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Wednesday, July 29, in McDonough, Georgia.

Southampton DWI Arrests for the Week of May 8

Gintaras Satas, 58, of Mastic was arrested at about 11:30 p.m. on May 2 and charged with misdemeanor DWI and several vehicle and traffic violations after the vehicle he was driving nearly struck a Southampton Town Police car that was on the side of Montauk Highway in Water Mill with its lights on conducting a traffic stop of another vehicle. When approached by the officer, Satas was found to be unsteady on his feet and a breath alcohol test indicated he had been drinking more than the legal limit, according to police. by Staff Writer

Renny Lopez-Bermeo, 27, of East Hampton was arrested by Southampton Town Police at about 7 p.m. on April 27 and charged with felony DWI after he was pulled over for driving erratically on Lynncliff Road near Ponquogue Avenue in Hampton Bays.
