Daniel Peter Kelly

Water Mill native and Iraqi War veteran Daniel Peter Kelly, 33, was killed by a hit and run driver on August 22 in Houston, Texas.

He was in the process of becoming a U.S. Federal Marshal.

Mr. Kelly was the son of Susan McLane Gioscia and Dr. H. Thomas Gioscia of Water Mill. He was predeceased by his father, George S. Kelly Jr.

A wake was held on August 29 at the Brockett Funeral Home in Southampton. A funeral mass was held on August 30 at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Church, also in Southampton.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to East End Hospice, P.O. Box 1048, Westhampton Beach, NY 11978, in memory of Mr. Kelly and his beloved grandparents, Daniel and Grace McLane, would be appreciated by the family. To share memories of Mr. Kelly’s life, go to dankelly.legacy.com.
