David G. Luther of East Quogue died at Southampton Hospital on Saturday, August 24. He was 92.
Mr. Luther served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a Life Member of the Quogue VFW Post 5350. He worked as a service manager for Lyons Ford and Modern Tracker. He was a former member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Riverhead.
Mr. Luther is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mabel (Foster); a daughter, Diane Dedicke and husband Wayne of Calverton; five grandchildren, Sherri Luther, Jefferey and Dawn Kearns, Donald G. and Kevin M. Barrett; six great-grandchildren, Corey Luther, Dawson and Sydney Palmer, Kaitlyn Lucas, Sophya and Gabryella Smith; and a great-great-grandson, Cody Luther. He was predeceased by a daughter, Jean Thompson.
The family will receive friends at the J. Ronald Scott Funeral Home in Hampton Bays on Wednesday, August 28, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Coram at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 29.
