Deep Gratitude

I want to express my deepest gratitude to the residents of Southampton Village for the opportunity to serve as your village trustee these past four years. It has been an extraordinary honor to work on behalf of this community and to make tangible progress together, whether it be beautifying our beaches, improving water quality, supporting local arts initiatives or making our roads safer.

There are several initiatives I’m especially proud of from my time on the board. I was honored to serve as the board liaison to Coopers Beach; the liaison for public safety; for youth and seasoned citizens; and for the Southampton Arts Center and the Southampton History Museum.

As Coopers Beach liaison, one of my proudest accomplishments was helping Coopers regain its ranking as the No. 1 beach in the United States, as well as helping to generate a $1.9 million beach revenue surplus over the past two years. We also acquired new rescue equipment, including drone patrols and Jet Skis, to make the beach safer for families, and introduced sand wheelchairs to improve accessibility.

I was also honored to collaborate with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation advocating for cost-effective, nature-based solutions to clean our waterways.

I also had the privilege of supporting our first responders and helping elevate local talent through the ranks, promoting a new police chief, captain, lieutenant and sergeant within just two years. I’m proud of our fire, ambulance and dispatch teams, whose quick response times continue to make Southampton one of the safest places to live.

I am proud to have worked with my running mates, Trustee Roy Stevenson and Mayor Bill Manger, and I congratulate them. I know they will continue to lead with dedication and care for our village. I’m excited to see what they accomplish in the term ahead as they continue advancing the many initiatives we worked on together.

I will always remain committed to Southampton. This is my home, and I look forward to continuing to support our community and seeing what we accomplish next. I will also be resuming my humanitarian work abroad, which has long been a central part of my life.

Thank you again for your support, your trust and the opportunity to serve.
