Dennis Anthony Schoen, a resident of Sag Harbor for 34 years, died on February 9 at The Fireman’s Home in Hudson, New York. A retired fireman, he was 69.
Born April 28, 1939, in Southampton, he was the son of Mildred (née McAree) and John Schoen. He graduated from Pierson High School and worked as a diesel mechanic.
He is survived by a daughter, Denice Schoen of East Hampton; two sons, George Schoen of Sag Harbor and Roy Schoen of Colorado; a brother, Ernest Schoen of Florida; five grandchildren, Tiffany, Katie, Lindsay, Michael and Madison; two great-grandchildren, Jadyn and Jordyn; and four nieces and nephews.
The family received visitors on February 12 at Yardley & Pino Funeral Home in Sag Harbor. Funeral services, also at Yardley & Pino Funeral Home, were on February 13; interment followed at St. Andrew’s Cemetery.
