Doreen J. Miller of Southampton and Longboat Key, Florida, Dies March 23

Doreen J. Miller of Southampton and Longboat Key, Florida, died on March 23. She was 100.

Known to generations of Southamptonites as “Yola,” she and her late husband, Shep Miller, owned and operated the iconic luxury clothing store Shep Miller on the corner of Jobs Lane and Main Street, that defined Hamptons style for 35 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Goldfarb of Larchmont, New York; her son, Hugh R. Cowans of Montreal; her three grandchildren, William Scragg, Susan Murray and Jean Goldfarb; and her three great-grandchildren, William Scragg, Tristan Scragg and Madeline Murray.

She was laid to rest in Southampton Cemetery, beside her husband, Shep Miller, and her mother, Julieta de Sibley.
